About the Artist
The Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Lake have inspired me since 1974 when I planted my flag there. That was my first winter on the Grounds and where I started my life after college. Chautauqua gave me the chance to explore my creative spirit as a painter, photographer and writer. The peace, abundance of nature and lack of distractions gave me a clean slate upon which to work. To this day, much of my imagery is gleaned from experiences on and around the lake.
Now, after many years of teaching art at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, Pa., I am in the process of re-establishing my art career with the art community of Chautauqua County.
